Baby Height Percentile

Track your little one's growth. This tool uses World Health Organization (WHO) data to see how your baby's height compares to healthy peers.

From birth up to 24 months.
Height Percentile
50th

Your baby is taller than 50% of peers.

What do Percentiles Mean?

I genuinely believe that percentiles are the best way to track growth trends without worrying about "averages." A 50th percentile height means your child is exactly in the middle—half of children their age are taller, and half are shorter. It does **not** mean they are "healthier" than a child in the 10th or 90th percentile.

Growth Curves: Pediatricians look for consistent growth over time. If your baby has always been in the 10th percentile and stays there, that is usually perfectly healthy. Concerns only arise if there is a sudden, significant drop or jump in their percentile curve.

Quick Guide:

  • 50th: Average height for age.
  • Above 95th: Among the tallest 5% of children.
  • Below 5th: Among the shortest 5% of children.
