Flight Carbon Footprint

Travel with awareness. Estimate the total CO2 emissions of your flight and see how different classes and distances impact the environment.

E.g., NYC to London is ~3,500 miles.
Higher classes take up more space and "carry" more of the flight's emissions.

Does air travel really matter?

I genuinely believe that transparency about our impact is the first step toward sustainability. A single long-haul flight can produce more CO2 than an average person in many countries produces in an entire year. While aviation only accounts for about 2-3% of global emissions, its impact is concentrated among a small percentage of the world's population.

Why class matters: When you fly Business or First class, your seat takes up the space of 3-4 economy seats. This means you are responsible for a larger "share" of the fuel burned by the aircraft to get that space across the ocean.

Ways to offset your flight:

  • Direct Flights: Takeoffs and landings consume the most fuel. Reducing layovers reduces emissions.
  • Pack Light: More weight equals more fuel. Every pound matters!
  • Carbon Offsets: Consider investing in certified projects that plant trees or capture carbon to balance out your travel.
