When will I see my abs?

I genuinely believe that everyone has abs—they're just hidden under a layer of subcutaneous fat. To reveal them, you don't need 1,000 crunches a day; you need a consistent caloric deficit. This calculator assumes you are preserving your lean muscle mass through protein and resistance training while losing primarily body fat.

Visibility Thresholds:

  • Men: Abs start becoming visible around 12%. At 10%, they are clear. Below 8%, they are "shredded."
  • Women: Abs start becoming visible around 20%. At 18%, they are clear. Below 15%, they are very defined.

Safety Note: Do not aim for extremely low body fat for long periods without professional guidance, as it can affect hormonal health and energy levels.
