Gift Card Tips:
- Register Your Card: For Visa or Mastercard gift cards, register them on the issuer's website. This often allows you to recover the funds if the physical card is lost or stolen.
- Check Expiration: While federal law in many places prevents gift cards from expiring quickly, some promotional cards have short windows. Check the fine print!
- Split Payments: If your purchase is $20 and your card only has $5 left, tell the cashier *before* they swipe. Most systems allow you to pay the first $5 with the gift card and the rest with another method.
