Grade calculator
Stop stressing and start planning. Calculate your weighted average or find out exactly what score you need on your final to pass.
The "Final Exam" Panic
I genuinely don't know why professors make grading so complicated. If you're staring at your syllabus trying to figure out if you can still get an A after that "C" on the quiz, you aren't alone. This calculator uses **weighted averages**. It multiplies your score by its importance (weight), adds them all up, and divides by the total weight. If your weights don't add up to 100%, it assumes the remaining percentage is your "Final Exam."
What is a weighted average?
A weighted average is a calculation that takes into account the varying degrees of importance of the numbers in a data set. In school, this means a final exam (25% weight) is much more important than a weekly quiz (5% weight).
What if my weights don't add up to 100%?
No problem. Our calculator will show you your current grade based *only* on the assignments you've entered. It effectively treats the missing weight as "to be determined."
