Why Mulch?

I genuinely believe that mulch is the best "bang for your buck" in landscaping. It suppresses weeds, retains moisture, and protects your plants' roots from temperature swings. Plus, as organic mulch breaks down, it actually improves the quality of your soil.

Bags vs. Bulk: If you need more than 2 cubic yards of mulch, it’s usually cheaper to buy it in bulk from a local nursery and have it delivered. If you need less, bags are much more convenient to transport in your car.

Mulch Math:

  • 1 Cubic Yard: Covers 100 square feet at 3 inches deep.
  • Standard 2 cu ft Bag: You need 13.5 bags to equal 1 cubic yard.
  • Depth: Never go deeper than 4 inches, or you might suffocate the roots of your plants!
