How it Works: Our tool uses a regular expression to find every instance of the `` tag, which is the standard XML tag for a page URL. It then cleans up the tags and presents the raw links in a simple line-by-line format.

SEO Best Practices:

  • Limit Size: A single sitemap file should not exceed 50MB or 50,000 URLs. If your site is larger, use a "Sitemap Index" to point to multiple sub-sitemaps.
  • Canonical Only: Ensure your sitemap only contains "canonical" URLs—the versions you want Google to index. No redirects (301s) or dead pages (404s).
  • Update Frequency: Your sitemap should update automatically whenever you add or remove content. Most modern CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify) do this by default.
